What inspired you to start your own business?

We love to inspire and be inspired, art fascinates us, especially if it has some meaning.

We love to draw, to explore different art styles and symbols. So it all started with a series of small things like “I wish that existed!”.

We are just two and it was very risky for us because we had to invest all of our time and resources in this project but we followed the motto “do what you love, and you’ll never work another day”, and it was the best decision ever!

What does your business mean to you?

As a family business, it means a lot to us because it is our livelihood but we also consider it as an important channel for activism.

So we see it as a unique kind of business where we may share awareness in a creative way.  

What difference does it make to you when someone supports your business?

It means a lot to us, we work for the people and receiving support is a sign that we are following the right path.

Fortunately, it seems that our positive messages are attracting quite a few positive people and we are now surrounded by a very kind community, which is amazing! We are very grateful for it!

What are your values?

We have always felt a great desire to change the world and as we were growing up, we realized that what is important is to first change ourselves.
Hence the name, “MyPositiveVibes”, in a sense of responsibility before our own actions. We believe that only by inner change does the world move forward. By changing our way of thinking and by transforming the negative energy into positive energy, daily, we may inspire others. So our main values are:
– Respect for people, animals, and the environment;
– Being positive, accountable and reliable;
– Delivering quality, focusing on detail;
– Being courageous;
– Constant improvement.

Why do you feel like independent businesses are important?

Independent businesses are important for several reasons. They allow people to be self-sufficient and therefore they may live doing what they love, without depending on a boss. At this moment there are more and more larger supply chains or multinationals, so we find it difficult to be independent.
On the other hand, the internet has become an essential tool for anyone who wants to follow this path. Independent businesses also allow bringing forward unique and original ideas, projects and more creative productions. So, in this way, they represent a vital alternative to mainstream business models. Usually, those mainstream businesses are directed to mass consumption and for that reason, the values behind them are mainly based on profit. Because of this situation, it is difficult to reach the consumer with projects with more meaningful values. That being said, small businesses may re-balance this situation in a way that more humane values can be seen in the world.
Independent projects also tend to have greater proximity to consumers and learn firsthand about their needs. And more than often, the big companies follow those needs who were firstly started by the small ones.
So innovation and creativity are a must!
